FAQ - Topic exoskeletons

01.

Will an exoskeleton make me stronger?

An active exoskeleton actually increases strength. With passive exoskeletons, the focus is on supporting ergonomic movements and reducing peaks in physical strain. The user’s own muscle strength remains the foundation for this.

02.

How do you clean an exoskeleton?

Passive systems often contain many textile components that can normally be removed and washed. When caring for these systems, it is particularly important to ensure that they can be cleaned hygienically, even with disinfectants.

03.

How practical are exoskeletons for everyday use?

The systems are designed for daily use and built to be durable. Choosing the right system for the specific task and the company is crucial. However, suitability for everyday use also means integrating the system into routines and processes, as well as ensuring a well-planned rollout.

04.

How long does an exoskeleton last?

Lifespan depends heavily on usage. As a rule, exoskeletons are designed for several years of continuous operation. It is advisable to look for models that are easy to repair and have good availability of replacement parts. With proper care and regular maintenance, a service life of seven years or more is realistic.
